Washington, D.C. and more!

In early October, our Sisters had the joy of spending five days in the greater D.C. area. Speaking on Humanae Vitae during its 50th Anniversary, Sr. Faustina Maria Pia kicked our time off at Theology on Tap in Baltimore, Maryland. We were deeply edified by the receptivity and openness of those who attended. We spent the next day on campus at the University of Maryland with FOCUS missionaries and college students, attending a weekly mass and dinner put on by their Catholic Student Center. It is beautiful to see how God draws so many hearts to Himself!

We continued our time the following evening at George Washington University for a women’s night at the Catholic Center. Sr. Ann Immaculee gave a talk on the beauty of the feminine genius. Next was George Mason University where Sr. Faustina spoke on the vocation to love. With 100 students in the crowd, we were deeply moved by their “yes” to Him. Catholic University was next, and we enjoyed an afternoon on campus, getting to know the beautiful students striving for holiness in our nation’s capital. Our week was concluded with a Day of Recollection at our local convent in D.C. for young women—the day included talks on prayer and discernment, sharing a meal together and time for silence and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. God is working powerfully on the East Coast!
